Top 10 Things to Do With Dad for Father's Day

There’s no question that dads are pretty special. From cheering in the stands, to late night pep talks and car rides all over town, dads do a lot for their kids. Why not tell Dad thank you by planning a Father’s Day full of fun? Check out the top 10 ways to celebrate with Dad in and around Luzerne County!

1. Go to a local brewery. Check out the new Beer, Wine and Shine Trail that meanders throughout the County. (Over 21 fun)

2. Get out on the water. Right in our backyard we have over 90 small lakes, 130 streams for fishing and boating fun. Want to do something different? Try kayaking the Susquehanna River or ride the rapids on the Lehigh River. Visit our Sports and Recreation  page.

3. Test your skills. Work together to plan your escape at the E5C4PE Room or let Dad try out rock climbing at the Wilkes-Barre Rock Climbing Gym.

4. Hit the links. Check out the great golf courses and the Golf and Stay packages.

5. Make a splash, fire up the grill and camp. Area parks and camp grounds are great way to disconnect from technology and reconnect with one another. Check out the camping and parks  pages to find out more.

6. Head to the movies indoors or outdoors. RC Theatres offer comfy seats in a cool environment or wait until dusk and head to one of the outdoor drive-ins.

7. Hike and bike #HereinLC. Miles of trails crisscross our County. Visit the trails page and enjoy the great outdoors.

8. Rock out. With so many local entertainment venues, live music and shows are everywhere.

9. Does dad love cars? Visit a car show. The annual Antique Car Show is June 24th and numerous cars shows happen around the County. Check out the events calendar to learn more.

10. History buff? Then look no further than right #HereinLC. Visit one of the many historical sites, homes mansions or spend the day exploring our anthracite history at several attractions and museums.
